Metro

Busan's extensive Metro system makes it possible to go just about anywhere. There are four lines (1, 2, 3 and 4) and they are easily traveled given their distinct colors. Destination announcements are made in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. The sound of a bird is used for stops that are transfer points, accompanied by announcements in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese.

Bus
Local Bus

There are three types of buses : local buses, cross-country buses, and airport buses. Local buses are three types of buses : city bus, city express bus and late night bus. A bus fare can be paid in cash or by transportation card (used to pay both bus and Metro fares) upon boarding the bus. To indicate you want to get off, push the button on the wall. Get off through the back door. * In case of Transportation Card, the free transfer is possible within 30 minutes from alighting. However, passenger must touch the Card on the card reading machine when alighting and get off. (limited to only one round. except the same route) Bus Fare (Currency : won)

Airlines

Gimhae International Airport in Busan is the 19th largest airport in Asia and in the Pacific. The airport began in August 1958 as the Busan Suyeong Airport. It was renamed the Busan international Airport in September 1963. Since it moved to its current location (Daejeo 2-dong, Gangseo-gu) in August 1976, it has been called Gimhae international Airport. The government operated the airport until May 1983, afterward Korea Airports Corporation took over its operation to effectively cope with the international competition.

Train

The Saemaul train, provides the most economic long distance transportation. The trains are equipped with wireless public phones and a restaurant. A slightly slower train Mugunghwa provides great convenience as it is connected with most cities in Korea.
